Job Opportunity: Chief Registrar for Medicine
We are offering a 12-month fixed-term opportunity for ST4+ level candidates to participate in an RCP programme as the Chief Registrar for Medicine. Candidates will undertake dual training in general internal medicine (GIM) and another specialty, with experience in leading or participating in the acute medical take at ESHT.
There are two posts, based at Eastbourne and Conquest. The roles encompass a range of medical specialties including cardiology, stroke, acute medicine, respiratory, and gastroenterology.
Role Overview
The Chief Registrar role is focused on healthcare leadership and management development, aimed at senior trainees nearing the completion of their training. Responsibilities include quality improvement, education, service re-design, and workforce transformation. The Chief Registrar will be part of the Chief Medical Officer's leadership team, working closely with Clinical Directors and reporting regularly to the Chief Executive.
