How You'll Make a Difference Working strategically and collaboratively with lead responsibility for Early Help (children, young people and families), you will support the strategic planning, monitoring and development of the Early Help offer and programme. Through this, you will ensure the effective strategic development and operational delivery of the Early Help programme across South Gloucestershire. What You Will Be Doing Supporting Public Health, Education and Children’s Services, you will establish effective arrangements to support the long-term strategic development of programmes. You will develop assessment and planning processes within Early Help to co-produce a one common Early Help Assessment and Plan (EHAP) and will work with Children’s Services to lead and champion the Council’s commissioned Youth Service offer Your role will be key in developing ways of working that promote prevention, improve outcomes and support a reduction in inequalities in children, young people and families. It will be your responsibility to ensure there is a common understanding of Early Help across all partners in South Gloucestershire. You will lead on work to re-balance the system to ensure children, young people and families get the right help in the right way at the right time. Working with partners, you will influence, shape and coordinate the Early Help offer. Additionally, you will influence partners at a senior level to refresh the Early Help vision and strategy, ensuring multi-agency commitment and delivery of the Early Hep strategic action plan. What We Need From You You will be educated to post graduate level or equivalent or may hold a professional qualification in a relevant discipline (Public Health, Healthcare, Environmental health or a related discipline such as substance misuse, children’s health and care etc). Alternatively, you may be able to demonstrate an equivalent level of professional knowledge acquired through continuous professional development (CPD). Alongside excellent leadership and communication skills, you will also have comprehensive knowledge of the relevant legislation and codes of practice for the provision of the service. Given the elements of the role, you must have extensive experience of tendering, contract setting, developing service specification, managing budgets and partnership working. It is essential you have gained experience in developing and delivering strategies, plans and effective intervention programmes in partnership with stakeholders, with the ability to negotiate and influence in a complex multi-agency context.
