My client is a leader in their field with more than 50 years' experience, starting in Belfast they have grown to have offices in Dublin, Glasgow and London while they still manufacture all their products in Belfast. As an Estimator/Quantity Surveyor you will play a key role within the contracts team and your role is support the contracts team commercially, implementing processes and systems on projects, from tender stage to completion. This will involve establishing early budgets, early estimating and cost planning, collaborating with internal and design team on budgets, tendering and procurement and post contract reporting. Other duties include: Assessing and analysing tender drawings & documentation, Carrying out project take-offs Prioritisation of tenders to ensure all are submitted accurately and on time, Prepare accurate costs for project work including labour and materials within accurate time frames and presenting final cost plan Negotiate to ensure budgets are not exceeded and vigorous cost management of project Attend sites where necessary to oversee project progress, engaging with clients and suppliers ensuring final accounts remain within the initial forecast Dealing effectively with post contract cost variances and the change control processes Liaise closely with the Design and Sales Teams Prepare cost, value and reconciliation reports on each project Skills: estimating tendering Quantity Surveyor Quantity Surveying
