Job Title: Locum Podiatrist Banding : Band 6 Location : London Contract Type: Locum, Full-Time Start Date : 27th September Rate : £24 - £27 per hour Job Description: We are seeking a Band 6 Locum Podiatrist to join our team in an outpatient clinic setting. In this role, you will provide specialized podiatric care, focusing on managing diabetic foot wounds and advanced wound care. You will also participate in bi-weekly multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure comprehensive care for patients with complex needs. What your responsibilities will be for this Podiatry role? As a Band 6 Locum Podiatrist you will conduct thorough assessments of patients with diabetic foot conditions to develop and implement individualized treatment plans. You will manage and treat diabetic foot wounds, utilizing advanced wound care techniques to promote healing and prevent complications. You will collaborate with other healthcare professionals in the bi-weekly diabetes foot multidisciplinary team to discuss and plan patient care strategies. You will provide education and support to patients regarding foot care and diabetes management to enhance their understanding and adherence to treatment. You will maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with professional and organizational standards. Qualifications and Experiences: Must be a registered Podiatrist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Must hold a relevant degree in Podiatry. Must have experience managing diabetic foot wounds and advanced wound care. Experience working in a Tier 4 acute service is desirable. Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Must demonstrate a commitment to providing patient-centered care and improving patient outcomes.
