Position: Teaching Assistant for Children with Additional Needs
Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 15:45
Salary: £86 - £98 per day
Contract: Term time only
Key Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant for Children with Additional Needs:
- Build trusting relationships with children near East Harling, Norfolk, making them feel valued, safe, and engaged in their learning.
- Promote independence by supporting students in developing self-confidence and independence, while maintaining high behaviour standards.
- Assist in delivering engaging and tailored lessons as a Teaching Assistant for Children with a primary diagnosis of Autism, ensuring the unique needs of each pupil are met.
- Work closely with class teachers near East Harling, Norfolk, to ensure smooth and effective daily operations.
- Adapt to different tasks and challenges to support the school community as a Teaching Assistant for Children with Additional Needs.
- Contribute to the cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development of students in East Harling, Norfolk.
- Collaborate as part of a dedicated and friendly multi-disciplinary team committed to making a positive impact as a Teaching Assistant for Children with Additional Needs.
Teaching Assistant for Children with Additional Needs Skills & Requirements:
- GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade 4 or above) or equivalent.
- Previous experience with SEN pupils is advantageous, but a passion for helping children with additional needs near East Harling, Norfolk, is essential.
- A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- A full UK driving licence and reliable transport to commute to rural areas near East Harling, Norfolk.
