About the role
We are currently recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join our team in Ossett, West Yorkshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate looking to join a Global company, who can offer support with studies and long-term progression within the Finance field. We would love to hear from you if you are an enthusiastic candidate with strong mathematical skills and an eye for detail.
The Finance Assistant supports the Senior Finance Analyst in maintaining and delivering accurate and timely financial information, following internal controls and processes to help the finance team meet reporting deadlines. The Finance Assistant will also perform ad hoc requests from the finance team such as product costings, setting up new suppliers on our internal systems, and making one-off payment requests.
Key responsibilities
* Support the team with month-end financial reporting; preparing account reconciliations, accruals, and pre-payment analysis.
* Perform weekly commercial analysis and reporting.
* Run all weekly reports required.
* Use the SAP system which is pivotal to our site's operations.
Qualifications and skills
* Strong mathematical skills.
* Problem-solving skills and a curious mind, always willing to ask questions.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Attention to detail to catch errors.
* Good time management.
* Excel knowledge desirable.
* Willingness to learn and develop.
* Demonstrate a significant degree of agility.
Qualifications Required:
* GCSEs in Maths and English at a minimum. On-the-job training will be provided.
*Study support offered after successful completion of the probationary period. This can be used to study with a professional accounting body.
