The Opportunity
The Senior Category Manager – Citrus is a strategic role responsible for driving global revenue, margin growth, and category excellence across the Citrus portfolio. This involves managing the product portfolio, strategic sourcing, asset utilization, and financial performance. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to align strategies with customer needs, market trends, and business objectives, ensuring high profitability and customer satisfaction.
The role will be responsible for key financial metrics including revenue, contribution, and material costs.

What you’ll be doing
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Category Strategy Development:
* Develop and execute category strategies for Citrus to achieve growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
* Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitors to identify growth opportunities and guide product innovation and sourcing.
* Act as a Citrus advisor to customers, addressing challenges and providing tailored solutions.
* Collaborate with sales to develop value propositions and strengthen key relationships.
* Provide educational opportunities on Citrus offerings within the organization.
Strategic Sourcing:
* Lead citrus sourcing, maintaining strong relationships across the supply chain.
* Travel to Citrus suppliers and scout new sources globally.
* Support quality control in aligning product specifications.
* Advise on long-term and tactical purchasing strategies.
* Lead Citrus trading to enhance sales and profit.
* Attend industry conferences and build networks within the citrus industry.
* Oversee product lifecycle, including innovation, optimization, and rationalization.
* Manage product costing and pricing quarterly.
* Build business cases for capabilities at production sites and support customer pipeline opportunities.
* Lead performance reviews and share insights to drive strategic decisions.

Education and Experience:
* Degree in business, technical field, or equivalent experience.
* At least 5 years in food, flavour ingredients, or citrus industries, in a commercial, technical, or sourcing role.
* Preferred: 5+ years in citrus industry.
