Role Summary

This post will attract an on-call premium of approximately £2,400 (subject to eligibility and pro-rata for part time employees) which will be paid in instalments over a 12 month period.

About the Role
As a key member of the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, you will be joining an exceptional pharmacy team working together to help our patients to stay healthy, when they need it most.
As part of your role, you will participate in a range of rotations:
1. Acute medicine
2. Gastroenterology / respiratory
3. Cardiology / care of the elderly
4. Stroke
5. Surgery and orthopaedics
You will get to work with a wider multidisciplinary team, including:
1. Medical and surgical teams
2. Specialist nurses
3. Allied health professionals
4. Nutrition team
5. Pain team
6. Hospice
Your day-to-day duties will include:
1. Clinical review of inpatients
2. Providing clinical advice to other professionals
3. Discharge facilitation
4. Supporting the dispensary (a small portion of your day)
As a Senior Pharmacist at North Devon District Hospital, you will join a small and friendly team, playing a crucial role in delivering a high-quality clinical Pharmacy service across a diverse range of wards. The role offers exposure to various specialties, enabling you to develop your core knowledge and skills, as well as the opportunity to be supported in your professional development.
