Job Overview
Are you an expert in digital preservation? Would you like to share your skills with the widest possible audience? Tate is looking for a committed, enthusiastic person to preserve and manage its digital resources and be an advocate for developing digital preservation expertise across the organisation.
About Tate’s Technology Department
Tate’s Technology Department delivers operational, systems development, and information management services to over 1,200 users internally across five sites, as well as supporting our website and platforms which are viewed and accessed across the world.
Key Responsibilities
1. Ensure that Tate’s digital resources are well-managed and accessible.
2. Develop action plans, review policies and strategies, and create staff training programmes to ensure Tate systems accommodate all defined digital preservation metadata.
3. Manage digital rich media resources and develop metadata schemes to support preservation.
4. Train users on best practices in digital preservation.
Qualifications and Skills
To succeed, you’ll need:
1. An impressive track record of managing digital rich media resources.
2. A sound grasp of best practices in digital preservation.
3. Excellent communication skills.
4. A collaborative working style.
