An exciting opportunity has arisen at Halesowen College for a Lecturer in Chemistry. In this role, you will work towards and deliver effective learning, teaching, and assessments that provide a high-quality experience to enthusiastic students passionate about the subject.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, experienced, and qualified lecturer to join a growing and popular Science department. The Science department is a large and diverse team offering a range of courses, including A Level Sciences, Level 3 Applied Science, Level 2 Applied Science, L1 Applied Science, and successful Access to HE courses. The department features bespoke labs, and the successful candidate will teach on various subjects and courses, including our L1, L2, and L3 Vocational Applied Science courses focusing on Chemistry units.

What does a Trainee Lecturer position involve?
Your training needs will be assessed and funded, particularly your studies towards achieving the Diploma in Education and Training (DET). This qualification will provide a practical introduction and a gradual development of your skills and knowledge. The programme includes job shadowing and, where appropriate, industrial updating to enhance your expertise. Time will be allocated within your contracted hours for training.
