Brackenberry is proud to be working in partnership with a leading UK Police Authority to supply an experienced IT Support Engineer to support their critical End User Computing (EUC) refresh programme.
This is a field-based role, ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on and mobile, taking the lead in deploying and refreshing mobile devices across the region. You'll be working within a high-performing ICT team, ensuring smooth device rollouts that are essential to frontline operations.
Rate Of Pay: £22.70 per hour
Role Overview:
* Deliver a high-priority mobile device refresh programme across Norfolk and Suffolk.
* Work closely with a dedicated End User Computing (EUC) team based in Suffolk.
* Carry out advanced diagnostics and support for hardware and software issues.
* Maintain and update the ICT asset register to ensure accuracy and compliance.
* Represent ICT in a customer-facing role with various internal departments.
* Ensure project delivery aligns with financial year targets and compliance obligations.
* Regularly travel between multiple sites (constabulary vehicles provided).
Essential Criteria:
* Qualification in an ICT discipline or relevant experience in an IT operational environment.
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows environments.
* Proven ability to carry out advanced diagnostics on IT hardware and software.
* Experience working independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
* Familiarity with ICT Asset Management processes.
* Excellent communication skills and a strong customer service ethos.
* Full UK driving licence with eligibility to drive Constabulary vehicles (Category B).
Travel Requirement:
This is a field-based role with frequent travel across Norfolk and Suffolk. A driving licence is essential, and you'll have access to constabulary vehicles where required.
