Job Description
Wincanton are looking to recruit a Transport Systems Compliance Lead to join our Group Transport division.
Reporting to the Transport Systems Data and Compliance Manager, this role will review data from our transport systems to identify areas for improvement. The role will involve all stages of the continuous improvement process, from identifying anomalies, investigating data, providing insights, recommending improvements, developing training materials and delivering training to individuals or small groups.
We are looking for someone who has worked in a compliance or process driven role and used Transport Management Systems.
This is a hybrid role, with one day a week in our Beeston office in Nottingham, one or two days a week out visiting our sites (nationally) and the remainder working from home.
Salary £30,000 p.a plus a company car.
Duties and responsibilities:
1. Investigation and evaluation of transport systems data (mainly Ortec TMS) to provide insights and identify requirements for training and system development.
2. Development of training materials to support operational and non-operational functions capabilities and knowledge of systems.
3. Working collaboratively with business stakeholders to scope requirements, identify problems and develop solutions.
4. Audit of planning and system KPI's (key performance indicators) and outputs.
5. Provide support for systems deployment for change or new business opportunities.
6. Provide training to operations, to meet the required competency level.
Essential skills and experience:
1. Experience in a compliance, procedure or process driven role.
2. Experience of using a Transport Management System.
3. Intermediate Excel skills.
4. Competent IT user with adaptability to new and existing IT systems.
5. Excellent communication skills and able to work independently.
Desirable skills and experience:
1. Able to handle large volumes of pre-generated data.
2. Previous planning experience with Ortec or similar planning systems.
3. Project management experience.
