Job summary Receptionist, Band 2- Emergency Department (15 hours per week) Are you enthusiastic, highly motivated and wanting to work for the NHS? This specific job role entails working 15 hours week on a set shift pattern which will include working unsocial hours, weekends and Bank Holidays. Unsocial hours worked attract an enhanced rate of pay. You must be able to have a flexible approach and be able to work extra shifts to ensure Reception has optimum Reception cover. You will be part of a friendly team of approximately 30 Receptionists working in a busy Emergency Department working with a wider multi-disciplinary team. You will be working in a fast paced/ever changing environment. Main duties of the job To provide a comprehensive and efficient Reception service within the Emergency Department. Register/book in patients, update patient records, make referrals to other departments, using the Trust's IT system. Scanning of patient documentation. Answer telephone enquiries.
