About the role:
We are looking for a Programme Manager to join our Programme Management Team who will be responsible for managing a wide range of projects which deliver aviation training devices to our customers around the world. It is expected that the individual will be managing multiple projects at one time which will be a mix of projects to design and build new Full Flight Simulators to managing complex engineering changes to devices already delivered to customers.
This is the ideal opportunity for an established Project Manager to progress their career to the next stage. The Project Manager will report to the Head of Aftermarket.
Responsibilities will include:
* Accountable for ensuring that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
* Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
* Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives.
* Manage the project budget, which involves financial analysis, to ensure budgetary objectives are met.
* Develop a detailed project schedule to monitor and track progress and manage resources.
* Manage project changes and ensure the baseline is maintained e.g. WBS, schedule, risk register, project budget and management plans.
* Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
* Report project status to CTS senior management.
* Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders especially with the client.
* Responsible for the management of risks and opportunities.
* Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members.
What you’ll bring:
The role of Programme Manager requires the following experience and skills:
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Good customer relationship management skills.
* An ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Solid organisational skills and ability to multi-task.
* Ability to simultaneously focus on the finer project details and the macro picture.
* Ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Project.
* Very strong analytical skills.
* Project Management Professional certification such as APM, PMI, MSP, PRINCE II.
* Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.
* Proven working experience in project management, preferably within the Aviation or Defence industry in a company producing high value items with a blend of hardware and software specialists.
* International travel required.
* A proactive communicator to all project stakeholders.
