SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant Wyken, Coventry (CV2) | £90 - £105 per day | Long-Term to Permanent | ASAP Start Long Term Futures is seeking a compassionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 4 child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The role is based at a two form OFSTED 'Good' primary school. This is a long-term to permanent position, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact on a child's educational and emotional development. Key Responsibilities: Provide dedicated 1:1 support, assisting with learning activities and social interactions. Implement tailored strategies from the pupil's Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP). Support communication, sensory, and behavioural needs, using visual aids and structured routines. Encourage independence, confidence, and engagement in classroom activities. Collaborate with teachers, SEN staff, and parents to ensure consistent support and track progress. Adapt to the KS1 or KS2 curriculum, depending on the child's needs and school placement.Requirements: Experience working with children with Autism (ASD) in an educational setting. Strong understanding of SEN strategies, including visual supports, social stories, and sensory regulation. A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to engaging children with additional needs. Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and parents.
