The Acquisitions Executive is responsible for the identification, procurement, and financing of new hotel opportunities for Dalata in the UK and Europe, and to aid the company in identifying and securing further strategic opportunities., 1. UK and European Acquisitions
* Identification of opportunities for both new developments and going concerns.
* Assisting in completing the business case on the proposal.
* Engaging the appropriate project team.
* Assisting the team in managing the commercial negotiations of the project.
* Drafting the board report, where applicable.
* Ensuring the contract process is completed in an efficient manner as possible.
* Where applicable managing the planning process.
* Liaising with the appropriate individuals within Dalata to ensure that all Finance, HR and Operational issues are addressed appropriately.
* Ensuring a complete and efficient handover of the project to Operations and/or Construction / Development team.
2. Strategy To assist the Deputy CEO and the Head of Acquisitions with:
* Continuously assessing and appraising our current strategic market opportunities. This includes post investment analysis of secured acquisitions.
* Identifying, analysing and recommending on new strategic opportunities, including potentially new markets, concepts, and investment / ownership structures.
Strong interpersonal skills to manage the various relationships that exist within the extended external development team.
* Commercially minded with an appetite to understand and critique business strategy.
* Strong level of initiative in finding ways to resolve problems as they arise in projects.
* High level of enthusiasm and energy to manage a number of projects simultaneously.
Technical
* Professional Finance or Property Qualification.
* Experience in investment return evaluation techniques.
* An understanding of accounting rules and taxation issues and the manner in which they may impact on projects.
* An appreciation of and an ability to learn the legal principles surrounding property transactions, construction etc.
* An ability and willingness to understand the challenges involved in delivering on property projects including planning, design, due diligence etc.

Planned travel across the Group (Ireland, UK and Europe) will be required as part of this role.
* We operate a hybrid working pattern in Dalata with a requirement to be in the Dublin office (Sandyford, D18) three days per week.
