Accounts Assistant
Annual Salary: £25,000 - £28,000
Location: Gillingham
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent (Hybrid working post-probation)
We are seeking a highly organised and enthusiastic Accounts Assistant to join our finance team in Gillingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment and is looking for a role with the potential for hybrid working after a successful probation period.
Day-to-day of the role:
1. Processing financial transactions and maintaining accurate financial records.
2. Assisting with the preparation of monthly accounts and financial reports.
3. Managing invoices, reconciling bank statements, and handling accounts payable/receivable.
4. Supporting the finance team with ad-hoc tasks and contributing to the overall efficiency of the department.
5. Ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
1. Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant or similar role.
2. Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
3. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
4. Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
5. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
6. AAT qualification or similar is desirable but not essential.
