We are looking for a Maintenance Operative to join our outgoing, friendly team at our service Clynsaer House.
Clynsaer House is a specialist residential service, supporting adults with learning disabilities who may have behaviours that challenge and with associated complex needs. We provide specialist care and support that is tailored to individual needs, promoting independence and community integration.
Your Day-to-Day...
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday – Your usual hours of work will be 8am-4pm. You may however be required to vary these hours or on occasion there may be out of hours emergencies which may require your attendance.
* Ensure the home is clean, safe, and well-maintained in line with company policies.
* Conduct regular health and safety checks, fire alarm tests, and emergency lighting inspections.
* Perform planned and reactive maintenance tasks, including plumbing, joinery, painting, and general repairs.
* Carry out weekly vehicle checks and coordinate servicing and repairs.
* Maintain outdoor spaces, ensuring gardens and grounds are clean and safe.
* Monitor and manage heating, water systems, and legionella checks after training.
* Support staff with moving items, assembling furniture, and site upkeep.
* Liaise with contractors, ensuring accurate records of visits and maintenance work.
* Provide emergency on-site assistance when required.
* Work independently and as part of a team to complete tasks efficiently.
You are...
* Experienced in a similar role, or have worked in a self-employed capacity in recent years
* Able to communicate at all levels & record detailed, accurate maintenance information
* Skilled at DIY & general maintenance
* Preferably experienced in the electrical/plumbing/construction industry
* Friendly, conscientious & an excellent team member with a positive attitude.
