Job: 6 months (on going contract)
Rate: £17 per hour
Hours: Normal days (40 hours per week)
Extra’s: Overtime available
Location: Coventry, West MidlandsAre you a skilled Electrical Loom Assembly Technician with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for precision? Do you excel in assembling complex electrical looms and working with schematic drawings, BoMs, and stock control? As part of our fast-paced manufacturing team, you'll play a crucial role in delivering high-quality electrical assemblies, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and working on cutting-edge prototype development.
Key Responsibilities – Your Impact
🔹 Electrical Loom Assembly: Precisely assemble electrical looms based on schematic drawings and technical instructions.
🔹 Technical Expertise: Work closely with BoMs, ensuring correct components are used while maintaining stock control of electrical consumables.
🔹 Prototype Development: Collaborate with the Electrical Design team to build and refine electrical and electro-mechanical sub-systems.
🔹 Process Optimisation: Support lean manufacturing principles and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality.
🔹 Performance & Quality Focus: Work alongside the Team Leader to meet KPI-driven production targets, ensuring every output meets the highest standards.
🔹 Problem-Solving & Diagnostics: Apply electrical theory and electronic principles to diagnose and rectify faults in sub-systems.
What You Need to Succeed
Proven experience in low-volume, high-complexity manufacturing techniques and processes.
Deep understanding of OEM automotive vehicle systems and their integration.
Knowledge of military specification radios and electrical sub-systems (or equivalent).
Awareness of electromagnetic influences on electrical sub-systems and networks.
