We are delighted to be supporting a West London based Housing Association with their recruitment of a Head of Repairs. What will you do in the role? Manage and deliver a first-class 365/24/7 responsive repairs service Ensure that all void properties are repaired to a good standard and are available to let within target Ensure effective management of all aspects of damp, mould and disrepair Deliver efficient value for money services Ensure that staff comply with policies on health and safety, equal opportunity, safeguarding and risk management strategies Help create and deliver the Asset Management Strategy Ensure compliance is met within all relevant legislation and regulation including Decent Homes standard and the Home standard Who would excel in this role? Ideally, someone who has: Relevant professional qualification – degree level or chartered status in relevant discipline covering building or construction e.g. MRICS; MCIOB or equivalent or Relevant experience of successfully undertaking a similar role in this sector Technical knowledge relating to building construction methods and materials, building standards and defects, schedule of rates, building design and services Able to inspect and diagnose repairs, recommend solutions with good knowledge of the NHF schedule of rates and prelims Knowledge of good practice in all areas of contract management and contract law Knowledge of procurement regulations and options available for efficient procurement Knowledge of framework management procedures Understanding of the commercial drivers of the supply chain Ability to interpret data to provide trend analysis Effective leader, able and willing to lead from the front and develop high performing teams Writing and Presenting information to Executive teams, committees, and boards Track record of delivering key services through contractors Proven experience of managing a variety of frameworks, diverse range of contracts and contract forms, delivering multi-disciplinary repairs to housing and other building types To find out more about this role, and for a full job description, please contact Michelle Twydell on (phone number removed) This vacancy is being advertised on behalf of Greenacre Recruitment Ltd who are operating as a recruitment agency and business.
