Role: IT Hardware Technician (Data Center) Location: Sheffield / Leeds, hybrid (2/3 days online) Type: Contract Experience: 5 years’ experience as a Data Center technician or in a similar role Worked in Banking/Financial services with good fit of technical experience In this role you will be responsible for: • Installation, removal and Management of IT Equipment in the IT Labs and designated Data Halls • Documenting processes and procedures • Monitoring and performing on-going monitoring and maintenance on servers and network equipment. • Manage booking portal • Constant communication with other colleagues in other teams / Business – and ensuring there is a clear establishment of what can be created within what timeframe • Management and support of the hardware infrastructure in the Testing Capability Uplift environment (TCU) • Supporting our customers for hardware infrastructure requirements within the Production Like Environment (PLE) Technical Skills: • Extensive experience of x86 Hardware and associated components (DELL, Lenovo, HPE, Intel, AMD) • Extensive experience in installation and removal of IT Equipment in IT Labs and Data Halls. • Proficiency in documenting hardware management and network processes. • In-depth knowledge of data center environments, servers, and network equipment. • Knowledge of Agile Ways of Working, including Jira and Confluence • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar. • CompTIA ServerPlus, CompTIA Network, or CCNP certification would be advantageous.
