Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Band 6 Mental health Occupational Therapist to join a well-structured and dynamic team to work within the community. The client offers a fair and manageable caseload and further training in your portfolio. The vacancy will be for an initial 3 - 6 months with potential for extension.
Main Duties for the Band 6 Mental health Occupational Therapist
17 bedded male acute inpatient mental health ward in the Enfield Mental Health.
The post holder will provide a variety of specialised Occupational Therapy Assessments and interventions.
Promoting a recovery approach and social inclusion on the wards.
Community settings and home visits as appropriate to support safe discharge of service users.
This will include assessment and treatment on the unit, in community settings and home visits as appropriate to support the acute clinical pathway.
Assessment and review of care packages and liaison with other organisations and health care providers will also be required, to enable service users to live as independently as possible.
Deliver evidence based Occupational Therapy interventions.
Tools to ascertain level of functional ability, related risk factors, level of support, and accommodation needs to implement community care plans.
