We are looking to recruit a Shift Engineer on a fulltime permanent basis, working rotating shift patterns days & afternoons (Monday - Friday) and nights (Sunday - Thursday) on a bi-weekly basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a multi-skilled maintenance engineer to join our team. Key Responsibilities Include:
* Operate key machinery, and respond to breakdowns in a timely manner.
* Ensuring all production targets are achieved
* Carrying out preventative maintenance, ensuring that machinery is serviced, maintained and safe to use.
* Promoting continuous improvement through regular review of machinery, systems, and processes.
* Fault finding on PLCs and three phase electrics.
* Installation of new equipment and project-based work as and when required.
* Minimising downtime, ensuring all stakeholders are updated on progress.
* Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
* Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operations.
* Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
Required skills and abilities:
* City & Guilds level 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
* CNC/Schirmer operator experience advantageous
* Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings.
* Experience with electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic machinery.
* 18th edition wiring regulations
* Domestic and commercial wiring experience advantageous
* Manufacturing/Fenestration background would be advantageous.
* Demonstrates a proactive approach to problem solving.
* Strong communication skills
* Works well in a team
* Ability to work using own initiative.
* Strong organisational skills
* Task planning and management skills
* Must be flexible and willing to be on call out of hours.
* Computer literate Microsoft Office, ERP systems
* Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
* Experience with welding and fabrication techniques advantageous
Experience:
* Maintenance: 3 years
* Electrical bias
* Mechanical experience
* Previous window machinery experience (preferred)
* CNC/Schirmer operator experience (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
* Driving Licence (Required)
