Band 6 Occupational Therapist
Salary: GBP35,000 - GBP38,500
Hours: 40 hours per week
Our client, a leading provider of inpatient mental health services, is looking for a skilled and dedicated Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join their team. The hospital offers a range of secure services for both men and women. As a Band 6 Occupational Therapist, you will work closely with a full multidisciplinary team to develop individualised care plans that support service users in enhancing their skills. You will be a key player in ensuring that each individual receives the support they need to lead a fulfilling life while in care.
Requirements for this role:
Qualifications:
1. Occupational Therapy (BSc or equivalent) qualification and current registration with HCPC.
2. Further postgraduate training or experience in working with individuals with complex mental health needs and learning disabilities is desirable.
Experience:
1. Significant experience in Occupational Therapy, preferably in a secure care, mental health, or similar setting.
2. Proven ability to assess and treat occupational dysfunction and develop person-centred interventions.
3. Experience in working independently, managing a diverse caseload, and prioritizing workloads.
4. Previous leadership or supervisory experience, including mentoring, teaching, or providing clinical supervision.

In this role you will be responsible for:
1. Assessing and treating occupational dysfunction, developing tailored interventions to support service users in achieving their personal goals.
2. Working within a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic care and promote recovery.
3. Providing clinical and managerial supervision to junior members of staff.
4. Sharing leadership responsibilities and contributing to the wider Occupational Therapy provision.
5. Participating in the ongoing development of Occupational Therapy services across the hospital.
6. Ensuring high standards of service provision and contributing to the therapeutic culture of the hospital.
