Salary: UH5 £28,081pa to £31,387pa on achieving designated skills and experience
Annual Leave: 25 days plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure of our office between Christmas and New Year

The Schools of Physics, Engineering and Computer Science are seeking to appoint School Administrators to form part of our team of School-based administrative staff. There are numerous strands to the role: Data & Communication, Staffing & Development, Contracts & Compliance, Academic Quality, Facilities Co-ordinator, Degree Apprenticeships and Research.
We are a large, successful and welcoming academic faculty with many undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses, extensive research and facilities. Main duties and responsibilities
You will be a pro-active member of the School Administrative team, working together to cover the School’s administrative responsibilities and ensuring accurate and correct completion of School-related administration in full compliance with legal and University requirements. You will share in helping to manage the Administration team window, welcoming visitors and assisting with enquiries and directions.
You must be able to provide a high standard of customer service, dealing effectively with all enquiries and information requests through multiple contact methods including face-to-face, telephone, IT systems (e.g., email, SMS, Web), and others as appropriate.
You may also be asked to cover any reasonable duties from time to time.
Skills and experience required
You will have appropriate proven administrative experience of working in a complex and dynamic organisation and ideally experience of working in Higher Education administration.
You will have good IT skills, be numerate and literate, with a good understanding of customer care and a confident, polite telephone manner. You will have good organisational and data skills, a methodical approach to working with attention to detail, and be able to work accurately under pressure to tight deadlines autonomously and as part of a team. The ability to deal with sensitive material with strict confidentiality is essential.
Qualifications required
You will hold a minimum of A-levels or equivalent level qualification or proven professional work experience.
