Main duties of the job Following the internal promotion of existing colleagues and the creation of new posts to support our teams, Division D within University Hospitals Southampton is recruiting for four service manager posts to work in one of two care groups, either Trauma and Orthopaedics (T&O) or Cardiovascular and Thoracics (CV&T). Whilst the care groups have different patient groups and day to day ways of working, the skills needed of our service managers / operational managers remain the same. In either care group you can expect to be busy; in addition to your operational, day-to-day work for your services, you will also work with the rest of the teams to share ideas, deliver projects and work together to meet various deadlines and trust wide objectives e.g. strategic plans, reporting, transformation objectives.
