Reporting to the Head of Commercial, the role will be responsible for the "pre contract to final account" of the commercial management associated with the company’s products and projects. This will include subcontractor orders, valuations and payments, cost analysis, supply chain development and assisting the purchasing team to secure long term and profitable agreements in line with business goals and commercial targets.
In summary, we are looking for a Commercial Manager who is a positive and influential leader, from any sector, who can manage the Commercial activities of the company’s live projects.
You will be responsible for managing commercial operations, including minimising costs and risks on mission-critical projects while ensuring quality and value for money. You will lead a team of Quantity Surveyors and Buyers, implement commercial best practices, and develop cost templates to ensure consistency across the business. You will also be involved in reviewing tenders for risks and opportunities, managing sub-contractor variations, and ensuring compliance with NEC4 requirements.
Additionally, you will monitor project costs, submit client applications for payment, and manage the payment process for sub-contractors. Regular site visits will be required to assess project progress.
