An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Centre for Medical Education, providing professional technical support within our busy and dynamic Clinical Skills and Simulation team. This is an essential role in providing support for the Clinical Skills and Simulation Centre and Centre for Medical Education, working closely with staff, students and external stakeholders to deliver a high-quality teaching experience for primarily undergraduate but also postgraduate students.
The Clinical Skills and Simulation Team’s focus is to teach undergraduate medical students’ practical skills such as taking blood, giving injections and looking after sick patients. Teaching is undertaken in the Clinical Skills and Simulation Centre, a highly regarded and well-equipped facility where students can develop their practical skills and gain valuable experience of real medical situations in a simulated and safe environment.
The successful candidate will provide technical support to staff and students across the MBBCh programme. You will need to demonstrate the ability to meet deadlines, prioritise workload, have good attentions to detail, good IT skills and good communication and interpersonal skills.
The post is based at the Heath Park site in Cardiff.

The expected hours of work will be 08:30 – 16:00, Monday-Friday

Salary: £22,728 - £23,114 per annum (Grade 2). Appointments to roles at Cardiff University are usually made at bottom of scale unless in exceptional circumstances.
