Job Description
Vickerstock are working in partnership with a growing distribution business on the appointment of a Transport Manager. Our client is currently in the process of relocating operations to their NI site, giving the successful applicant the chance to work with autonomy in creating structure in a growing transport/dispatch function.
As the Transport Manager you will have full responsibility for the development and maintenance of excellent service levels to enhance continuous improvement across numerous sister companies, with a primary focus on the NI site.

In your new role:
* Manage and resolve Transport, POD query resolution for site fast and efficiently.
* Oversee the effective usage of the company TMS
* Oversee relationships with 3rd party providers
* Liaise with other group business units on the development of SLAs
* Amend and improve the existing transport infrastructure and processes
* Ensure that your team are adhering to company policies and regulations.
* To set strategic objectives to create motivation and job satisfaction for all staff reporting direct to the post holder.
* To work in accordance with all company policies including Health and Safety, Employment, Staff, Quality and Environmental.
What you will need to succeed:
* CPC qualification or working towards.
* Experience of TMS usage
* Experience in or knowledge of Transport Modelling Systems
* Strong management capability with a confident and positive approach to challenges.
