Responsibilities of the Production / Manufacturing Engineer: We are looking for a production engineer with a strong background in electrical systems and EV charging technology (although general electrical, and electronic backgrounds are applicable) to drive efficiency and innovation in our manufacturing processes. In this role, you will: Develop and refine production workflows to enhance efficiency and streamline manufacturing. Ensure all processes comply with health, safety, and environmental standards. Maintain and troubleshoot production machinery and electrical systems, implementing preventative maintenance strategies. Work closely with the design and engineering teams to translate technical specifications into scalable production methods. Identify inefficiencies and introduce continuous improvement initiatives to boost output. Create and update technical documentation, including process guides, maintenance logs, and standard operating procedures. Train and support production teams to enhance skill levels and ensure smooth operations. Research and integrate new technologies to improve manufacturing capabilities. Partner with quality control teams to uphold stringent product standards and implement corrective actions when needed. Analyse production performance data, identifying trends and opportunities for further optimisation. Qualifications of the Production / Manufacturing Engineer To succeed in this role, you will need: A degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related discipline. Proven experience in manufacturing or production engineering, ideally within the EV charging, electrical, or power electronics sectors. Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and a track record of driving process improvements. Proficiency in CAD software and manufacturing analysis tools. Hands-on experience with electrical components such as power electronics, connectors, and wiring systems. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot technical challenges efficiently. Strong organisational and project management capabilities, with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
