Cover Supervisor Portsmouth ASAP Teaching Personnel work with a number of secondary schools across the Portsmouth area who are in need of experienced Cover Supervisors in the absence of the regular class teacher. As a Cover Supervisor, you will: Supervise classes during the short-term absence of the regular class teacher. Deliver pre-prepared lessons and ensure students remain focused on their tasks. Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies. Provide support to students when needed, helping them stay engaged and on track. Report any issues or feedback to the appropriate school staff. Cover Supervisors play a vital role in maintaining continuity in the classroom, ensuring students continue to learn effectively even in the teacher’s absence. To be considered for this role, you should: Have experience working as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar educational support role. Be confident managing classrooms and engaging with students. Possess excellent communication and organisational skills. Be adaptable and able to work effectively in a variety of school environments. Demonstrate a strong understanding of safeguarding practices. While this role is ideal for experienced Cover Supervisors, it is also suitable for individuals with teaching assistant or coaching experience looking to expand their skill set.
