Job Title: Registered Manager Location: Stoke-on-Trent Salary: £45,000 per annum Contract: Full-Time About the Role: Claire at Amber Mace is recruiting for an experienced and compassionate Registered Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a medium-sized residential care home in Stoke-on-Trent. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing high-quality care for residents, ensuring that all care standards are met and exceeded, while also leading and developing a dedicated team of staff. You will be responsible for the overall management of the home, including regulatory compliance, staff management and resident care. You will be required to: • Manage and lead a team of care staff, ensuring they are well-supported, trained, and motivated to provide the highest standards of care. • Ensure the home is fully compliant with all regulatory requirements, including Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards. • Develop, implement, and review personalized care plans for each resident, ensuring their needs are met with dignity and respect. • Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of staff to maintain a strong, capable team. • Manage the home's budget and resources effectively, ensuring operational efficiency and cost management while maintaining high standards of care. • Handle any incidents, complaints, or issues swiftly and professionally, ensuring the well-being and safety of all residents. • Establish and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and external agencies, promoting a collaborative and transparent approach to care. • Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to ensure the home operates to the highest standards of safety and quality. Essential Qualifications and Skills: • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care • Proven experience in a senior management role within a residential care setting. • In-depth knowledge of CQC regulations and quality standards. • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with residents, families, and external professionals. • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. • Passion for delivering high-quality, person-centered care and improving residents’ quality of life. Desirable: • Experience in managing a medium or large residential care home. • Previous experience with budget and resource management.
