Nursery Practitioner Position
Contract Type: Fixed Term
Hours: 24 hours per week
Location: Starting Point Nursery, Crewe Campus
We are seeking a Nursery Practitioner to join our team at our Starting Point Nursery. This is an excellent opportunity for an innovative and inspiring Nursery Practitioner who has a passion for working within the childcare and education industry. This role offers an excellent opportunity to join our team in the daily care and development of an individual child within the nursery environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Welcome and assist a child with specialist equipment on arrival and departure;
2. Provide a comprehensive verbal handover to parents;
3. Ensure the child feels fully included with their peers at all times including snack and mealtimes;
4. Provide constant supervision and support especially outside and in other high traffic areas;
5. Ensure 1:1 child is given plenty of choices;
6. Support and deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum;
7. Contribute to planning and preparation of daily activities;
8. Provide a safe and stimulating environment for all children;
9. Promote the welfare of children and young people.
Key Person Specification Requirements:
1. GCSE Grade C (4/5) in Maths and English (or equivalent);
2. Level 3 in Childcare (or equivalent) or willingness to work towards;
3. Up-to-date knowledge of current educational practice – latest EYFS (September 2023);
4. Ability to use information technology to supplement education (Iconnect/Parentzone);
5. Proven skills in working with children and understanding their needs;
6. Enhanced DBS check.
