An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of North Lanarkshire Council’s Estates Maintenance team. You will directly and positively impact our local communities by working as part of a team ensuring the day-to-day delivery of an effective and efficient repair and installation service for a wide range of play area equipment and associated structures.
You must have moderate relevant working experience, ideally including the repair, removal, and replacement/installation of a range of play equipment. You will have experience of undertaking inspections of play and associated equipment. Experience of hard and soft landscaping (slabbing and fencing) would be advantageous.
You will have the knowledge and ability to operate a range of tools and equipment including drills and be able to undertake manual handling of heavier type materials. You require knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act and should be able to follow safe systems at work and risk assessments. A SVQ3 or equivalent level qualification in a relevant discipline would be advantageous to this role.
You must be motivated and well-organised with a polite and courteous manner. With the ability to work as part of a team, you will also require the capability to work on your own initiative. You will have good communication skills with the ability to follow written instructions and update computer systems as necessary.
A driving licence is required for this role.
Working Pattern:
Week 1 - Monday to Thursday, 7.15am to 5pm
Week 2 – Tuesday to Friday, 7.15am to 5pm
