Job Description
Find where you belong!
We’re on the lookout for a Property PR Manager (Maternity Cover) to take charge of our Property and Development Communications Strategy across the UK and Spain. If you love the buzz of new hotel openings, media relations, and creating high-impact PR campaigns, this is your chance to shape the narrative for one of the UK’s largest hotel brands.
What’s it all about?
This role is all about shaping and delivering the PR strategy for Travelodge’s Property and Development team, ensuring our growth story is told in the right way, to the right audiences. You’ll lead media relations, securing high-profile opportunities for senior leaders and driving communications that support new hotel openings and wider property initiatives. Managing our Spanish PR agency, you’ll oversee PR for Travelodge’s 12 hotels in Spain and future expansion, making sure their communications plan is executed effectively. From drafting press releases and crafting media campaigns to developing relationships with key stakeholders, you’ll be at the heart of all things Property PR. You’ll also take ownership of content for the Travelodge Property and Development LinkedIn page and corporate website, keeping our audiences informed and engaged. Supporting the Corporate Communications Director and wider PR team, you’ll contribute to the annual PR strategy, step in during crisis situations as part of the Press Office team, and help manage reputational challenges. With a fast-paced environment and plenty of variety, you’ll also be leading and developing a Property PR Executive, ensuring they’re supported and delivering great work.
Why Travelodge?
We believe in creating an inclusive workplace where everyone can be their true self and belong. We work hard to improve the diversity of our teams and celebrate our differences. And we care about our colleagues’ wellbeing, so we ensure there are plenty of resources available so everyone can look after their emotional, physical, financial and work wellbeing. We call this “Better Me”.

You’ll be someone who knows how to create standout brand-led PR campaigns, build strong relationships with the media, and manage everything from new hotel openings to major corporate announcements. Crisis communications won’t faze you, and you’ll have the confidence to navigate reputational challenges while keeping cool under pressure. Your communication skills will be top-notch, and you’ll have a strong network of media contacts in the UK.
Adaptability is key, as is a can-do attitude—whether you're managing press releases, overseeing the Spanish PR strategy, or leading a team executive, you'll be happy to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in.
