L27 is the Leeds General Infirmary (LGI) Multi-Speciality Assessment Area (MSAA) which assesses acutely unwell patients from Orthopaedics, Vascular Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Neurosciences and Head and Neck specialties. Main duties of the job Patients are referred from primary care, via the Emergency Department, minor injury centres or as tertiary referrals. Patients are assessed by both nursing and medical staff and then either treated and discharged or admitted to the LGI inpatient bed base. It is an exciting, busy and fast paced area to work and has a designated, committed team of staff. The area is currently open 7 days a week from 9am to midnight.
