We are recruiting on behalf of our client for experienced Mechanical Fitters to join their expanding team. The role will involve working in a busy environment working with pumps, compressors, conveyors, transmission drives, couplings, gear boxes, fans etc both in a workshop & on-site environments. Based in Heanor, Derbyshire Duties - Moving of machinery, eg conveyors Your responsibilities within the team will be to ensure the work allocated is produced & completed effectively as well as; Inspection of own work to ensure it meets quality standards Work in a safe manner, in compliance with company procedures What we are looking for - Apprenticeship/time served in Engineering with a minimum of 3 years experience Knowledge and understanding of maintenance within the Process & Water Treatment Industry. In depth knowledge of relevant engineering techniques. Sound mechanical engineering knowledge materials properties and failure mechanisms (stress, fatigue, corrosion). Broad knowledge from the component level (bearings, shafts, welding etc). Thorough knowledge of plant & equipment operations & reliability.
