The General Manager (GM) role at Improbable is a multifaceted position that demands a hands-on approach, strategic acumen, and an unrelenting commitment to scaling our business. The GM role plays a pivotal part in executing Improbable's vision and strategy, focused on project growth by introducing and managing strategic partnerships. This GM will be leading one of our projects called Chamber - a digitally native, SaaS conference platform, for businesses that want to run internal meetings, conventions, exhibitions, workshops, showcases, virtual classrooms, trade shows, and community & networking events that are cheaper, globally accessible and environmentally friendly. Your Opportunity: Strategic Leadership: Set strategy and vision for the product during incubation phase, in alignment with broader Improbable metaverse strategy. Accountable for executing on vision and roadmap. Business Development: Identify emerging trends and pursue new business opportunities and strategic partnerships to fuel the growth of the project. Develop and implement marketing and sales strategies to expand the project's reach and impact. Commercial Execution: Negotiate and structure deals and renewals for all partnerships, securing favourable terms for the venture. Innovate ways to enhance the value of partnerships. Operational Management: Take charge of overseeing the daily operations of the project teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and efficient execution of tasks. Identify and mitigate potential risks, establish key performance metrics, and monitor progress to ensure project success. Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, track expenditures, and allocate resources effectively to support project goals. Assume responsibility for the project's profit and loss (P/L) statement, ensuring financial sustainability and profitability. Matrix Management: Mentor and empower the project team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation. Leverage teams cross functionally and from central engineering and content teams to achieve project goals. Stakeholder Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, customers, sponsors, and other stakeholders. Manage expectations and ensure alignment with internal and external partners to drive project success. LI-KH1 This role is available as remote, hybrid or in-office. We have a great office space in Spitalfields in London but are equally happy if you'd prefer to work from home some, or all of the time.
