Multi Skilled Engineer
Droitwich
42 hours per week: 4 on 4 off covering days and nights
We are currently recruiting for a Multi Skilled Engineer to join our Droitwich site. The main purpose of a Multi Skilled Engineer at Müller is to service and repair all our machinery whilst actively seeking and implementing new improvement methods to increase reliability and improve efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities for a Multi Skilled Engineer:
1. Diagnose faults and test, repair and maintain machinery.
2. Observe, recognise and report on machinery or component defects or symptoms of impending failure.
3. Service, adjust and repair machinery and equipment using the necessary tools in a safe and proper manner.
4. Examine machinery and equipment and report on condition, performance and plan of action for improvements.
5. Carry out planned and preventative maintenance to agreed schedules.
6. Interpret and implement technical service instruction data relating to machinery and equipment.
7. Take on any training provided by the company to further enhance skills.
8. Use the CMMS stores system to accurately record parts taken out.
9. Comply with stores systems in place.
10. Assess records and associated costs for repairs.
11. Order appropriate replacement parts as required.
12. Liase with manufacturers of specialist machinery and equipment.
13. Support the Site roadmaps for Quality / H S / EMS / Engineering / Autonomous maintenance.
14. Use and support simple 5WHY CI techniques / RCA techniques.
15. Support departmental 5s programmes.
16. Support reliability centred maintenance techniques.
17. Assist with internal / external audits.
18. Use the CMMS system effectively, recording information accurately.
19. Utilise CMMS historical data for improvement initiatives and fault trending.
Skills & Experience we’re looking for:
1. Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship.
2. Educated to ONC/HNC or equivalent in either Mechanical or Electrical discipline.
3. Proven experience within a maintenance environment.
4. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
5. Effective planner and organiser.
6. Strong ability to make logical decisions that will resolve potential problems.
7. Positive with a ‘can do’ attitude.
8. Ability to prioritise own workload to achieve operational and personal targets.
