Our client is a leading original equipment manufacturer, and Staffbase has been appointed to recruit for the position of Shipping Co-ordinator. The position is a 12-14 month contract, full-time at 37.5 hours per week.
The Role:
Reporting to the Aftersales Manager, the Shipping Co-ordinator will arrange the effective shipping of machinery and spare parts to customers all over the world. Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
* Scheduling timely dispatch/distribution of all orders and liaising with logistics providers, freight forwarders, parcel couriers, shipping companies, and the warehouse team.
* Arranging air, sea, and land freight consignments into the EU and non-EU countries.
* Producing customs paperwork (Commercial invoices, Eur1, and ATR1 forms, etc.).
* Coordinating air freight imports.
* Ensuring all information is accurately updated on company ERP systems.
* Liaising with customers and clients as appropriate.
Candidate:
The successful candidate will have previous international shipping and logistics/shipping administration experience and will be familiar with all aspects associated with booking international shipping and transportation.
You will have an excellent understanding of customs import/export documentation requirements.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Excellent all-round IT (including Excel and ERP systems) experience is required.
Hours of Work:
Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours.
