This is a fantastic opportunity for a DevOps Team Lead to be a vital part of our successful team and remain hands-on. We use the latest technologies to deliver an interconnected on-premises technology solution.
These roles require the successful applicants to undergo UK security vetting clearance (or a willingness to apply) and it is office-based on-site in Gloucester.

What you'll be doing:
1. Own the technical configuration and detail of the system and its interfaces.
2. Develop and maintain strong customer and third-party relationships, and be able to influence decision making.
3. Guide the team with the investigation, triage & allocation or actioning of incidents/changes & stories ensuring they are dealt with optimally and promptly making the best use of available resources.
4. Monitor and maintain system health to make sure the highest level of service is continually maintained.
5. Lead all aspects of any deployment issues, fault finding and resolving any hardware, software or networking issues.
6. Work in a well-adapted and structured manner in accordance with Agile and ITIL based service management processes.
7. Problem identification and resolution.
8. Make sure BCDR plans are in place and practical.
What you’ll bring:
1. Able to impact assess new features and operational improvements, and influence key customers to make sure system stability and relevance.
2. Solid understanding of the Dev Ops Life-cycle and its phases, CI/CD, Automation, Containerisation, On-Prem & Cloud Platforms.
3. Ability to develop improvements and new features.
4. Understanding of computer networks, routing, firewalls & proxies.
5. Understanding of anti malware agents, and IDPS concepts.
6. Understanding of Linux (Red Hat preferred).
7. Mentoring, support, leadership and development of team.
8. Identification of process and governance improvements.
9. Experience in a delivery role - able and willing to be hands-on.
It would be great if you had:
1. Apache NiFi.
2. Ansible.
3. Collaborative tools such as (Bitbucket/Git, Confluence & Jira).
4. NGINX.
5. OpenShift / Kubernetes.
6. Python/Bash.
7. Sophos/McAfee.
8. Experience of Agile delivery methods.
9. Awareness of information security methods.
10. ITIL V4 & Agile Delivery Methodologies (Scrum & Kanban).
11. Release Management.
12. Understanding of digital certificates, authentication principles and how certificate authorities work.
