Eden Scott's client is seeking highly analytical and detail-oriented Investment Client Reporting Analyst to join their team in Edinburgh on a day rate contract until February 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with experience in investment reporting, client servicing, or asset management operations to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As an Investment Client Reporting Analyst, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality reports to institutional and retail clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, including portfolio managers, risk teams, and client relationship managers, to support the investment reporting function. Key Responsibilities: Prepare, validate, and distribute investment reports, fund fact sheets, and client presentations. Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all reporting outputs. Collaborate with investment teams to interpret portfolio performance, attribution, and risk metrics, translating data into meaningful client insights. Ensure reports meet regulatory standards and industry best practices, including ESG reporting requirements where applicable. Act as a point of contact for client reporting queries, liaising with investment teams, client relationship managers, and risk teams to resolve issues promptly. Identify areas for operational efficiencies in reporting processes, working on automation and system enhancements to improve accuracy and turnaround times. Support clients by addressing queries related to investment performance, fund composition, and market trends. Maintain robust controls in reporting processes to mitigate operational risk and enhance governance procedures. Participate in projects related to reporting enhancements, regulatory changes, or system migrations. Person Specification To be successful in this role, you will have: Experience in investment reporting, asset management, or financial services within a reporting or data-focused role. Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and data accuracy. Proficiency in Excel (VBA, macros, pivot tables), PowerPoint, and data visualisation tools ; knowledge of SQL, Python, or reporting systems (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet, Morningstar) is advantageous. Understanding of investment performance metrics, attribution, risk reporting, and regulatory frameworks. Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders. Proactive problem-solving ability with a continuous improvement mindset.
