Job Description:
We are currently looking to recruit an Internal Service Manager to work within our Climate Control Division. The primary purpose of the role is to oversee the planned maintenance and repair business for the division and manage a team of external gas and air conditioning engineers across the UK who undertake this work. The role also includes ensuring the regular maintenance of customer assets and working with engineers to efficiently quote and complete remedial works, ensuring excellent customer service.
This is a full time, permanent position.
Responsibilities:
Climate Control Service Management:
1. Generate new business opportunities
2. Allocate engineers to planned maintenance and reactive breakdowns
3. Manage subcontractors as needed
4. Handle customer queries and quotations
5. Oversee invoicing, job imports, and customer asset management
6. Liaise with accounts department
General Administration:
1. Manage system-generated reports via Access and Sage
2. Address customer queries and generate quotations
3. Handle invoicing, job imports, and liaise with suppliers
4. Assist with customer projects and bill of materials
5. Source materials, obtain quotations, and enter part info
6. Maintain records and prepare internal/external reports, including HSE and KPI documentation
Skills:
1. Previous experience of working in the heating / air conditioning industry would be advantageous.
2. Previous experience of working in a customer facing / customer support role.
3. PC / IT literate.
4. To be able to communicate effectively with colleagues, customers and visitors.
5. Able to demonstrate good customer service skills.
6. Organised and proactive.
7. Able to draft reports, emails and other related documentation.
8. Able to work effectively individually and as part of a team.
9. Able to prioritise workload effectively and work to tight deadlines.
10. Be commercially aware.
