Job Overview: My client are an established refurbsihment contractor operating throughout London and the Southeast. They are seeking a highly organized and proactive Office Administrator to join my clients team in Ingatestone, Essex. The ideal candidate will have excellent administrative skills, a strong attention to detail, and advanced proficiency in Excel. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day office operations, providing support to the team, and ensuring smooth running of administrative tasks. Key Responsibilities: Answering and directing phone calls, taking messages as required. Managing office correspondence, including emails and post. Organising and scheduling meetings and appointments. Maintaining office supplies and ordering stock when necessary. Assisting in the preparation and management of office documents, reports, and presentations. Handling filing systems and ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and properly organized. Managing and updating databases and spreadsheets Assisting with invoicing, purchase orders, and managing office accounts. Assisting HR with employee documentation and records. Supporting the team with any administrative tasks as needed. Acting as the main point of contact for internal and external inquiries. Organizing and maintaining a tidy and efficient office environment. Assisting with travel arrangements and event planning as required. Skills and Experience Required: Proven experience as an Office Administrator or in a similar administrative role. Longevity with current/recent employer Previous experience working within the construction industry (highly desireable) Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience using Microsoft Excel. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize. Experience with office management systems and procedures. A proactive approach and a positive attitude towards new tasks.
