We are currently recruiting for an experienced Accounts Assistant within a friendly, family run business.
This is a full time office based role working in our Birkenhead office. Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 9.00 am to 5.00 pm.
Key Responsibilities for the Accounts Assistant:
Working independently and reporting directly to the Finance Director, this varied role includes the following responsibilities:
1. Accurately match, code and enter purchase ledger invoices into Sage
2. Accounts payable (generate weekly and monthly payments, statement reconciliation to creditors)
3. Maintain costing information in the Price Book and Purchase Invoice Register
4. Booking in stocks from supplier delivery notes and maintaining bill of material stocks
5. Month end reports including stock valuation and ad hoc reports for Directors
6. Year end stock take including investigation of errors and reporting
7. Bank reconciliation
8. Cashbook payments and allocation
9. Petty cash and expenses
