We're rewriting the playbook on how the sporting world drives meaningful impact, and we're looking for exceptional talent to help lead the charge.
If you share our ambition for working within sport to create unprecedented change and you bring a high-performance mindset to solving global challenges, this could be your opportunity to join an organization that's setting new standards for impact in sports.
About HIA:
At HIA we are transforming how sport changes the world. We connect world-class athletes with world-class charities—organizations that bring a high-performance mindset to improving the world.
Our athlete community is a star-studded lineup of world champions, Olympic champions, world record holders and league professionals helping to address the world's most pressing issues.
The opportunity:
You will lead a global movement transforming one of the world's fastest-growing fitness sports into a powerful force for social impact. As our Global Experience Leader, you will design and coordinate the end-to-end experience for thousands of participants worldwide, embedding effective giving into the heart of fitness events. Your strategic guidance will empower athletes and everyday participants not only to achieve personal fitness goals but also to save lives, alleviate suffering, and protect our planet.
Operating at the intersection of sports, philanthropy, and global community building, you will create playbooks and scalable systems that inspire and activate tens of thousands of fundraisers each year using online and in-person engagement. You’ll experiment with innovative approaches to engaging race participants, refine our global approach to in-person and online activation, and distil insights into replicable playbooks that build vibrant local and international communities in every Hyrox territory. At HIA, we push beyond conventional philanthropy—we are building a new era of athlete-driven impact. If you're passionate about scaling change and shaping global movements, this is your opportunity.
You'll own:
* Establish frameworks and systems for delivering exceptional participant experiences globally – end-to-end participant UX linking fundraising, storytelling, community and engagement online and in-person.
* Design & implement strategies that foster local ground-up and purpose-driven communities who are connected globally through HYROX, fitness, and improving the world. Develop replicable, scalable processes for local implementation of Race for Impact community engagement strategies, ensuring consistency across regions while allowing local volunteers to bring their own vibes, creativity, and flavor.
* Accountable for capturing and sharing learnings across regions, building institutional knowledge and playbooks that enable rapid scale.
* Lead cross-functional collaboration with HIA & HYROX Communications teams, Partnerships teams, and Operations teams to synchronize efforts and deliver value to Race for Impact participants.
* Track engagement metrics closely, update and improve strategies based on data, and ensure all initiatives align with HIA’s North Star Metric (our primary impact goal) and Growth Model.
Key skills:
* You’re obsessed with creating awesome experiences and community building – whether that is online, in-person, or both – and, you know how to make these experiences scalable.
* You’re adept at AI prompting and using tools like ChatGPT or Claude to engage as a thought partner, speed up your workflows, and deliver better outcomes.
* You could step up and lead a team across different countries and cultures; people enjoy working with you even though you have high standards and can be tough on them at times. You’re culturally intelligent, or have the ability to learn, navigate, and respect cultural nuances in diverse global markets.
* You’re happy with fast-paced, high complexity situations, are able to see signal through the noise, and consistently make decisions – hopefully these are generally good ones, but if not you learn from them.
* You’re a team player, communicate clearly and authentically, and build trust with everyone from elite athletes to local volunteers, making people feel heard and valued.
The breakdown:
* Clear progression path across HIA & Race for Impact based on proven impact and performance. This role reports directly to a Co-founder.
* Fully remote global team with highly flexible working arrangements. Preference for candidates able to work primarily within US or European time zones, but exceptional candidates elsewhere are encouraged to apply. Regular digital collaboration with some flexibility required for early morning or evening meetings to accommodate global team time zones.
