We are seeking a skilled and compassionate learning support coordinator (LSC) to join our dedicated team. The successful applicant will:
* have a good understanding of inclusive education and learning support strategies

* have the ability to coordinate and implement individualised learning support plans

* be flexible, work efficiently and manage time effectively
This role is based across five schools, with Hurunui College (Y1-13) being the employing school. The other primary schools, Greta Valley, Omihi, Waipara and Waikari are contributing schools to Hurunui College. The schools are all members of Tipu Māia Kāhui Ako. The allocated time in each school is based on need.
In this role, you will work closely and collaboratively with the Deputy Principal/SENCO of Hurunui College and the Principals of the four other primary schools. A budget is available for travel.
As our LSC, you will:
* coordinate and enhance learning support for students with diverse needs
* support teachers to build learning capability to meet the needs of learners
* work closely and strengthen connections with parents and whānau to ensure the best outcomes for students
* work collaboratively with school leadership, Hurunui College SENCO, other LSCs, and external agencies to ensure access to appropriate services and resources
* transition students who have learning or behavioural needs
* work 1:1 with individual students when required
Hurunui College is a Y1-13 Area School that offers a positive work-life balance and a supportive working environment in the rural township of Hawarden, located 1 hour north of Christchurch in North Canterbury. The contributing primary schools are between a 10-30 minute drive from Hurunui College.
