We’re on the hunt for a dedicated School Caretaker to join our friendly team at a warm and welcoming school in Alcester, Warwickshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in creating a safe, well-maintained environment for students and staff.
What’s the Role About?
As our Caretaker, you’ll be the go-to person for keeping our school in top shape. Here’s a quick look at what you’ll be doing:
* Opening and securing the school each day, ensuring it’s ready for staff and students.
* Ongoing maintenance tasks, from repairs to general upkeep, making sure everything is running smoothly.
* Responding to any urgent maintenance needs and keeping our learning spaces in great condition.
* Maintaining the swimming pool – you’ll be trained on the essentials if you’re not already experienced!
* Regular testing of fire, security, and water systems to keep our school safe and compliant.
* Working independently and as part of a team alongside the MAT Facilities Manager to handle any larger projects or safety needs.
Who We’re Looking For:
Ideally, you’ll have experience as a caretaker or a background in maintenance, facilities, or health and safety. We’re looking for someone who is:
* Detail-oriented, proactive, and ready to tackle each day with a positive attitude.
* Comfortable working independently while also being a supportive team player.
* Safety-minded, with the ability to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
Training and ongoing support from the MAT Facilities Manager will be provided, so while experience is a bonus, we’re also open to applicants eager to learn and grow in this role.
