Salary: Level 3 - £11.98 per hour (pay award pending)
Position: Maternity Cover - 21.5hrs per week, fixed hours between 7.45am and 6pm, Monday to Friday, all year round.
We are looking for a nurturing, fun-loving and inspirational practitioner to join our team at Bright Sparks Nursery, IKB Primary School, Wellington.
Do you have:
1. A warm, smiling face that makes every child feel special and loved.
2. The skills required to rapidly count the heads of numerous moving small people as this is of utmost importance.
3. The flair to feel comfortable entering public places on the way home from work with unknown substances on your clothing or dressed up in fancy dress.
4. The ability to sing out of tune in front of a crowd is essential.
5. The knack to remember the names of many children, their parents, siblings, grandparents, pets and special soft toys is a key component of this job.
6. A high level of comfort with being asked personal questions by children is essential.
7. The ability to read a ten-page book upside down with at least one interruption per page.
8. The expertise to authentically show an interest in and curiosity for bugs and creepy crawlies is essential.

Main Objectives:
1. To provide inclusive play and learning opportunities for all children attending the nursery and to maintain a safe, stimulating and enjoyable environment.
2. To work as part of a team in order to provide an enabling environment in which all individual children can play, develop and learn.
3. To build and maintain strong partnership working with parents to enable children’s needs to be met.
Hours: 21.5 hours per week.
Grade: Level 3 - £11.98 per hour (pay award pending)
Requirements: Level 2 or Level 3 relevant childcare qualification.
Experience: Relevant work experience in a nursery or preschool desirable.
