An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Auto Electrician / Supervisor to join a prestigious classic car restoration workshop in the Coventry area. Key Responsibilities of the Senior Auto Electrician / Workshop Supervisor:
1. Oversee and support a team of six mechanical technicians.
2. Maintain workshop standards, ensuring quality and efficiency.
3. Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues on classic vehicles.
4. Work hands-on with engine rebuilds, gearboxes, suspension, braking systems, and fault-finding.
5. Provide specialist knowledge in traditional automotive electrical systems, carburettor fuel systems, and distributor ignition systems.
6. Ensure work is completed within time estimates while maintaining the highest craftsmanship standards.
7. Train and mentor technicians, fostering a collaborative and knowledgeable team.
Requirements for the Senior Auto Electrician / Workshop Supervisor Role:
1. Extensive experience as a skilled automotive engineer, preferably with classic and vintage vehicles.
2. Strong expertise in traditional electrical systems, including wiring, ignition, and charging systems.
3. In-depth understanding of carburettor fuel systems, distributor ignition, and fault diagnosis.
4. Hands-on experience in engine building, gearboxes, transmissions, brakes, and suspension.
5. Problem-solving ability with a commitment to good engineering practice.
6. Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
7. Self-motivated with a commitment to quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.
